Getting back to normal

The last couple of days we’ve ventured out socialising.

We went to the golf club one day. It was nice to see old friends & catch up with their news.

The other day we went to the village pub. Again we met up with familiar faces.

Everyone seemed as pleased to see us as we were to see them. Staff at both places seemed relieved to be able to get back to work. They’d run out of chores around their homes & felt they were going slightly potty with boredom. Nobody seems to have actually had the virus.

Life seems to be getting slowly back to normal. Both pub & club seemed very quiet but that suits us. We don’t want to end up being too near others. In both places the tables have been moved well apart, one way systems organised, hand sanitizers for use on the way in & out. We felt reasonably safe in both so will be going again. We’ve yet to trying eating out but I suspect that won’t be long as I start once more on frequent trips to the hospital. For that matter, one of the club’s bacon butties is enough to set our mouths drooling.
