Gone to the birds

We get a letter. I recognise a letter from the hospital at a glance now – we’ve had so many over the last 18 months or so - & this was one such. They’ve sent an appointment for the Fox to go back to Dermatology to see how things are going with the new treatment. Much as he would like to see them & maybe try a more effective treatment, the timing is wrong. The appointment is right in the middle of our French holiday. Since they reckon that two of the possible causes for his eczema are stress & lack of sun, we reckon it is more beneficial to go on this holiday to the south of France than to go to the hospital. I got straight onto the phone to tell them it was inconvenient as we were away on holiday. They couldn’t find an alternative date immediately but they noted the dates of our holiday & assured me there should be an appointment soon after our return home.

Meanwhile the Fox is once more losing his appetite. Once more I’m beginning to wonder if it is worth going to much effort in cooking more experimental, sometimes elaborate dishes. Nonetheless today is going to be Tacos. I just hope he can manage eat a reasonable amount of it.

Meanwhile the birds are dining well, having lamb & chestnut tagine today from yesterday’s meal. Two mouthfuls & the Fox’s appetite had evaporated. Most of the meal remained on the plate & is now out to the birds.
