We’ve done it! We’ve actually done it!
Yesterday we went along to the travel agents. We were getting so
frustrated trying to find a wheelchair accessible hotel at a reasonable price in the south of France,
eventually we thought we’d just ask them what they could find.
The assistant who helped us has worked there a long time. She
entirely agreed the number of barriers they put up for wheelchair users is
ridiculous.
Anyhow two hours & a cup of tea later, she managed to find a
hotel with a guaranteed accessible room in Antibes.
We’re all paid up. We’re hastily trying to work out what we need
to do before we go, but at the moment, above all, we’re leaping up and down with
excitement. And relief. It looks as though we will be having a holiday before
so very long.
