A moan & a laugh

The wind is back. The temperature feels as though it’s gone down as the chill blasts through you. The squeak & rattle of the gate is the background noise of the day.

We went along to the golf club yesterday. We all seemed a bit under the weather.

We were feeling disappointment over our holiday plans which had fallen through.

The Fox was irritable as he tried to refrain from scratching all his itches. I was also trying to refrain from scratching my scalp where the psoriasis is once more returning - worrying about the Fox I suspect.

As for our friends, he is having problems with his waterworks. He’s managed to get an appointment at the hospital for today.  He’s also worrying about coping with the ordeal of doing up their bathroom which his wife insists needs doing. She feels it’s time they had it made into a shower room. They’re both in their late 70s & finding getting in & out of the bath hard going, even if they don’t sit down & use the overhead shower instead.

It has to be said it takes some adjusting to how frail one becomes as the years go on. Inside you feel so much younger most of the time. You can feel full of life, raring to go. Unfortunately the body sometimes says otherwise. Other times, when you are ailing a bit, you feel at least 100.

We all had a good moan & in the process ended up having a bit of a laugh & feeling so much better for seeing one another.
