Christmas greetings



Christmas is all but on us. Today the Fox is in charge of the cooking – Spicy Prawns & Chorizo. We thought the colours of the red wine sauce & orangey red of the chorizo were suitably festive. The Sunday chores will get done today so tomorrow will be free for celebration.

For dinner on Sunday we’ve decided on another roast gammon joint with a redcurrant glaze this time. It seems a more manageable joint to cook for just 2 people. We always regard roast gammon as a bit of a treat. I’m also intending to make a cherry cheesecake for dessert, a little indulgence as we don’t usually have more than one course for dinner these days.

Little remains to be done. The Fox will quickly pop out this afternoon to the local corner shop for some fresh bread to mop up the juices of today’s dinner & that’s about it except to wish you all
