France here we come

We’ve done it! We’ve actually managed to book our autumn holiday in France.

It’s taken us about three weeks to organise but finally everything seems to have come together. We’ve settled on 10 days in Annecy followed by a week in Chamonix, a mixture of lake and mountain. Shower rooms with seats booked, adapted rooms in both hotels, airport assistance for the flights, all organised. Hopefully all will work out well, even though it isn’t what we originally planned. Now all we need to sort out is holiday insurance, car hire & transport to Manchester airport, but that can be left a while, until nearer the time.

Now we just hope there isn’t an incident like today’s events at Brussels airport, with bombs going off. I’m telling myself nowhere is really safe, not even staying at home. That being so, we might as well go on doing our normal things & enjoy ourselves. So France look out. We’re on our way once more.
