I’m once more waiting. Today is chemo day. First thing in the morning of treatment day, I have to ring the hospital to check my blood results. I duly did this to find my blood results were not good, not terrible but not good. It seems my alanine aminotransferase levels are too low. I had a brief lecture about being highly vulnerable, liable to catch any bug going, to take my temperature if I’m feeling unwell & not to hesitate to ring the emergency line. Needless to say I’m not having chemo today. I’m now waiting to hear when my next appointment is. Meanwhile I’ve peeled some spuds in the knowledge we’ll probably be eating at home tonight after all.
