Autumnal

I started the new cycle of chemo yesterday. So far the side effects have been milder. Hopefully that is the way things will continue.

 

The trips to Kendal this week have made you realise that autumn is on its way. During the two weeks in which we’ve not been going to Kendal, the countryside has been changing. The trees are turning all different shades of reds, oranges & browns. The paths are lined with shed brown leaves. The grass is losing its freshness. Farleton Fell is in the midst of turning golden as the bracken dies off for winter.

 

Here in our garden the rowans are bending down with the weight of their red berries. The echinacea below is a dusky pink with their orange cones. The rudbeckia & chrysanths in the front remain golden even in the rain & gloom of the days.
