Thud in the night

We were happily listening to some music, chatting away when there was an almighty thud coming, we suspected, from the kitchen. The Fox got up to look. At first he couldn’t see anything that could have caused the noise. Then he noticed the light fitting was in the sink, not on the ceiling as it ought to have been.

The following day, in daylight he had a go at re-putting it up. It seemed a bit loose but that was it. Last night, after I’d gone to bed, the Fox heard another thud. It had fallen down again. Now we’re left wondering what to do. Have another go? See if we can get an electrician to come to do so little a job? Buy a new fitting?

We’re just grateful the glass didn’t break, and that it hadn’t landed on our head when washing up or doing something else at the sink. It could have seriously injured one of us.

No-one can say that your life is dull, but we all could thrive more if we didn't have to cope with these bolts from the blue! It's simply a case of lighting rather than lightning, wow. Take care. Much love to you and the fox.

I sometimes think my life is very small, no doubt dull to others. But what I do do is try to get the most out of even small incidents. The Vixen
