Perspective

Still the numbness remains. It’s only in the tip of my little finger now so I’m able to do most things normally again.

At the club yesterday we were saddened to hear another friend has been told his prostate cancer – he’s had it under control for over 15 years – has now spread into his bones. He’s been worried about his prostate for the last year or so as the PSA (prostate-specific antigen) level has been rather high. Now he knows why. He’s got another appointment soon to see if there is anything they can do to help him. It has to admitted there is a part of me that suspects that, as he is 93, they will probably say it’s not worth doing anything. We shall see. It certainly puts my little escapade into perspective.
