Social times ahead

It looks as though we’ve got a social time ahead.

Yesterday we had a phone call from the Fox’s brother. There’s been a change of venue for the wedding reception. It was going to be held at a local cricket club. They’ve now been told the club is having an end of season celebration of their own that evening so the club bar will not be available for wedding guests.  Why they didn’t tell our niece that at the time of booking the function room last March is a mystery. There’s been a great hunt going on & now they’ve managed to find an alternative venue.

The celebrations themselves are extending with a carvery lunch at a local pub the following day.

As for the family, we’re extending it with an evening meal the Friday before we fly off to Austria.

All in all it sounds as though a social time lies ahead. It will be good to see so much them all. Usually it’s just a couple of hours every few years.

And then there’s the socialising we will no doubt be doing on the holiday itself. Busy times ahead.
