We’ve had a few sunnier, even warmer, days. Every day I venture
into the garden something new has appeared. All signs of new life.
While we were at the golf club we noticed the sparrows once more
dodging in & out of the bushes. Some had fluffy down in their beaks. You
can guess what that was for. The next morning I found down in our garden, but no
carcase. Clearly our birds have turned their minds to nest building ready for
the coming season.
We’ve even heard that while we were away the Fox’s niece had a baby
son so now we are a great aunt & great uncle. My, does that make us feel
old!
Signs of new life seem to abound everywhere. And, after our
holiday, we feel in a better position to cope with it. We have some energy to
take part. We’re contemplating a trip down to Manchester to meet the new member
of the family.
But first it’s chemo
time. I dare say it will have no adverse effects, as usual, but we don’t want
to make any commitments until we’re sure.
