After the excitement of
Saturday’s post, the day turned into a celebration. We went along to the golf
club in the afternoon. Our cruising friends joined us. It was her birthday so
we made a joint celebration of it. In the evening we opened a bottle of fizz –
prosecco as that was all we had in the house, but it was a good one – and listened
to some Rat Pack tracks.
I thought the Fox would
instantly be wanting to organise that winter holiday, but he has found, like me,
no such urgency. It’s as though being unable to organise a holiday because of
health worries, had made the holiday seem more important. Now we’re not so
stressed & worried, we feel we can relax into just being at home, taking
things quietly.
Well maybe not so quietly
as today we’re off to the hospital for my chemo session. I’m trying to keep as
warm as possible so my veins will be as swollen, & so easy to find, as
possible. We’re hoping we won’t have the problems of last time.
