Plopping away

The slow cooker is plopping away once more. This time it’s some lamb. It seems strange to me to just put food in before I even get as far as a morning cup of tea in order to have a satisfying meal come the early evening.  The slow cooker is mainly used by the Fox. He loves it. His other passion is the wok.

Using the slow cooker means I’ve now got plenty of time to do other things. There’s seems even more time as I’m serving rice with the meal so there’s not even some spuds to peel. The accompanying veg is going to be fried mushrooms, again requiring nothing to do by way of preparation.

It’s another beautiful frosty morning, even more so than yesterday. We were disappointed when we went to the golf club. By then the tide had turned, & with that the weather had changed. It had become overcast, even a few drops of rain. It was impossible to see across the Bay, let alone admire the snow-laden fells. By the time we were leaving the weather had improved a bit, giving a pretty pink underside to the clouds.
