Looking hopeful

We’ve had one bit of good news over the weekend. My cousin Pat is now in remission with her breast cancer. She needs to take a pill a day to keep it away but that’s the worst of it. And obviously she needs to be breast aware, but then I think every woman needs to be that.

The garage wall is looking so much more interesting now it is lined with colourful glazed pots. At present it has a magenta buddleia, then some red & white pinks, some scarlet salvia some sweet peas (climbing up the pergola) & a brilliant orange lily. We’re thinking we might go again to the garden centre before too long & get a few more pots & plants. I think we could do with some evergreen plants so there is something to break up the pebbledash in winter.

It’s been a pleasant weekend. Saturday saw us sat outside playing dominoes. Sunday saw us eating in the garden. Today either seems unlikely in view of the relentless rain but at least the temperature isn’t too bad.
