Breathing once more

We breathe once more.

We got to the hospital promptly yesterday. In fact we ended up being nearly three quarters of an hour early. Such is the traffic going into Lancaster you have to allow an hour to get in for what should be a 15 minute journey. The roads ended up being quiet so we ended up being early. Even the parking at the hospital was easy for once. We decided to have a drink at the WRVS café first.

We got the Dermatology apartment still a good 15 minutes early. We were pleasantly surprised to hear the Fox’s name being called almost immediately. We hadn’t even got as far as getting out our books to read during the wait.

As for the doctor, he was very pleasant. After a few general questions, he examined the Fox. He quickly diagnosed it as Seborrhoeic Keratoses, a benign wart. He then treated it with liquid nitrogen. It should drop off in a couple of weeks’ time. He reassured the Fox he had done the right thing & not to hesitate to come again if something similar recurs. We were out of the hospital before the time of the Fox’s appointment. It was so quick.

Now we feel we can breathe again. We can get back to making plans for the future in reasonable anticipation of being able to carry them out. With this in mind we are hoping to get off to the travel agency & book the Austrian holiday before the week is out.
