This is just to let
you know that we’re safely back from our holiday in Austria & our niece’s
wedding.
We’re rather frayed
at the moment. One of the first things we found in our pile of post was a
letter, telling us a bill hadn’t been paid & they would be sending the
bailiffs in if we didn’t pay within 14 days. We’d paid the bill over a month
ago & certainly don’t see why we should pay again. That was the first thing
I sorted this morning.
My sense of fraying wasn’t
helped by having the fire alarm bleeping at us in the middle of the night.
There certainly was no fire in the house. It wasn’t a sustained bleeping. In
the end the Fox took it apart so I’ve now been on to the fire service for a new
one. We suspect the battery has gone.
On top of that there’s
the inevitable pile of washing to sort out & do, the rest of the post to sort,
phone messages on the answerphone to reply to, medicines to be ordered before
we start running out, food to buy, unwanted emails to delete etc. etc.
The holiday itself
was good. I’ll tell you more about that in the coming weeks. The wedding couple
looked blissfully in love & very happy. It was great to catch up on family
news.
But right now I’m
beginning to feel in need of a holiday to recover from the holiday.
