I thought I’d pick a few flowers from the garden for the house.
On the way I said hello to Mr Blackbird as he scurried across one lawn. As I
got to the far end of the clematis covered pergola I found myself being in the
way of the courtly romance of some wrens, pert tails standing upright. I don’t
often see these little birds in our garden. Clearly they prefer further up the
garden away from the house & nearer some trees. It was a pleasure to see
them as they flirted with one another. And now I know the high pitched piping sound
I’ve been hearing so much is clearly the wrens.
