A touch of spring

I’ve just noticed. The cherry tree we planted last year is in flower. Not far behind it is some forsythia. I love forsythia but it went when the garden was redesigned. I’ve since not got round to buying another so I’m so pleased to see this forsythia, presumably self-seeded, no less welcome for that.

The last couple of days have almost felt spring-like, with bright sunshine, even warmth if you could get in the sunshine. The garden is clearly responding to it & bursting into flower everywhere.
