A glistening jewel

My eyes get drawn across the garden to the fence. The rain is making the silvery grey/brownness look darker. On that bit of fence, just behind the apple tree & the horseshoe raised bed, grows an evergreen clematis. At present its flowers are opening up. Today they look like creamy white jewels against the dark wood. My heart sings.
